Stocks in Focus: GIFT Nifty traded down by 153 points or 0.72% at 20,064, indicating a negative opening for domestic indices NSE Nifty 50 and BSE Sensex on Thursday. Previously, on Wednesday, the NSE Nifty 50 slumped 302.95 points or 1.41% to settle at 21,150.15, while the BSE Sensex dropped by 930.88 points or 1.30% to 70,506.31.
“The Nifty experienced a sharp correction as bearish sentiment persisted. It failed to sustain above 21500, resulting in increased call writing at the 21500 strike, subsequently leading to a significant downturn. At its lowest point, the Nifty dropped just below 21100 before recovering to close above that level. Looking ahead, there might be a consolidation phase for the Nifty in the near term. Resistance is expected around 21500, while support is anticipated at 21100,” said Rupak De, Senior Technical analyst at LKP Securities.

Video game voice actors in the SAG-AFTRA union have been on strike since July 2024, and one of the chief issues concerns the use of artificial intelligence. Jennifer Hale, who is among the most famous voice actors out there, has commented on the ongoing negotiations and why it’s taking so long to resolve. She told Eurogamer, “AI is an existential issue for all of us.” Hale is best known for voicing Commander Shepard in the Mass Effect series, along with roles in Baldur’s Gate, Metal Gear Solid, Halo, and Overwatch, among many others.
She said the “repercussions are vast” when it comes to AI, and this helps explain why the union and the video game publishers are taking their time to make a deal.
“I’ve been speaking to people on both sides over the last few months especially and there’s a lot to learn on both sides,” Hale said. “Some of the decision makers in that room who hold significant power are at the same time quite disconnected from how production happens. There are…

Some heroes are made when they rise to the occasion. Others build their reputations over time. This latter case is the subject of Fable: The Lost Chapters, a game in which you get to vicariously experience the life of an archetypal fantasy hero, and, in some respects, decide what eventually becomes of him. Originally released for the Xbox last year, Fable was one of the most highly anticipated games since the Xbox’s debut, and the latest title overseen by visionary game designer Peter Molyneux since 2001’s innovative Black & White. Like that game, Fable invites you to solve problems either by being good or by being evil, and to watch as the effects of your decisions gradually take a noticeable toll on your persona.
